About Libell
On October 21, 2012, Libell Duran was crowned Miss New Jersey USA 2013 at the beautiful Hilton Parsippany Hotel in New Jersey.
Libell Duran, 22 is from Keasbey, New Jersey. She currently studies at William Paterson University where she is finishing her studies in Communications and Business Administration as well as taking acting courses in New York City.
Libell has been modeling and competing in pageants since the age of 17. She says the stage has become her second home. However, she remembers once being that chubby shy girl that thought she was never going to have the chance to go up on stage and compete in a pageant and become a model. Today she wants to be an example and role model for all those young ladies out there that, like her, thought their dreams were never going to become a reality. She says all you have to do is believe in yourself, have confidence, be determined, never give up, keep motivated and watch your dreams slowly blossom in the vision you once had. Beauty within is what makes us who we are today.
In her spare time she loves working out and staying active, bike riding, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She states that it is an honor to wear this crown and she will take every opportunity to reach out to others. Libell is compassionate about making others feel special. She thanks her sister for being her positive role model and her parents for leading her down the right path.
Her life goals are to become a successful Model, Actress, as well as a Entrepreneur. She wants to utilize her talents and beauty to also raise awareness and help others by having her own foundation for children who have Spina Bifida in the Dominican Republic and the United States and work closely with many organizations.
Libell looks forward to the year ahead and the memories that will last a lifetime. She will always treasure every moment during her reign as Miss New Jersey USA and is extremely honored for representing her home state of New Jersey at the 2013 Miss USA Pageant! |
