Briahna Reinstein, 16, from Englishtown, New Jersey, is a junior at Manalapan High School who has many leadership roles both academically and in extracurricular activities. Briahna is a section editor in the yearbook club, a proud member of the Manalapan Chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), a part of Braves Against Diabetes (BAD), and one of the founding members of Students Without Borders. By being instrumental in the development of the SWB club, she has helped to raise thousands of dollars for Doctors Without Borders, an organization that helps people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care, all while remaining on the Honor and High Honor Roll lists throughout her entire academic career.
Briahna is an accomplished artist having received a place in her school’s permanent art collection along with various other placement ribbons in art shows.
When she is not busy with schoolwork or creating yearbook templates, Briahna is a part-time model who has been in the industry for 3 years. She began her career at the Barbizon School of Modeling and Personal Development in Red Bank, New Jersey where she gained extensive experience in runway and informal modeling. She has modeled in local runway shows for Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and Macy’s, but her favorite memory is modeling in the Best of Monmouth. She has also modeled and shot with various designers, including Lainy Gold.
Briahna currently works as a dental assistant at a dental office in her hometown. She has developed a passion for patient chair-side care and has learned an incredible amount about what it takes to be in a “hands on” medical environment. With her long-term goal to become a Physician’s Assistant, this job has greatly prepared her to take on that responsibility. In addition, Briahna has plans of pursuing her modeling career throughout the future.
Briahna has participated in many fundraising events including Walk a Mile for a Special Child organized by the Friendship Circle, and a walk-a-thon for the Central New Jersey chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for causes dear to her heart to support not only family members and friends, but all those in need. Other organizations benefiting from her efforts have been Autism Speaks, Special Strides, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Briahna is active in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation fundraising events to support the many women who battle the disease.
Briahna Reinstein is overjoyed and honored to be able to represent New Jersey at the 2017 Miss Teen USA pageant. Throughout her reign she looks forward to bringing attention to education about substance and alcohol abuse, a terrible epidemic that affects all walks of life and all ages alike. Her goal is to reach as many people as possible through fundraising events, speaking engagements, and information distribution. She is very much looking forward to making lifelong friendships and memories along her journey.
