Julianna is a 17 year-old junior at Haddon Township High School in Haddon Township , New Jersey . The daughter of Dave and Claire White, Julianna is an outstanding role model for teenagers everywhere. She has one sister, Danielle White, who is a junior at Binghamton University in New York . Julianna is part of a large extended family. Her mother was one of 12 children and her father one of 6 so Julianna has thirty-one aunts and uncles, 44 first cousins, two wonderful grandmothers, and one Grandfather.  All of them are so proud of Julianna’s accomplishments. 

A top student in her school, Julianna is an Honors Student at Haddon Township High School . She takes Advanced Placement and Honors courses and has been named to the Who’s Who in High School Students. Based on her outstanding academic record, Julianna was recently selected to represent her high school in an upcoming regional scholastic competition at KYW/CBS-3. In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, she also has been invited to attend the Congressional Leadership Forum in Washington , D.C. this summer.

She balances her high academics with many extra-curricular activities. Julianna plays top-level soccer in the State of New Jersey . A member of the Medford Strikers MAPS elite division soccer team, Julianna is a dedicated outside half-back. Despite her busy schedule, Julianna’s love for soccer keeps her out on the field in rain, snow, and blistering heat. Not surprisingly, one of Julianna’s goals, depending upon what college she attends, is to play soccer at the collegiate level.  Julianna has also excelled in high school sports, being named captain and First Team All-Conference midfielder for the girls’ varsity soccer team. Also a member of the track team at Haddon Township High, Julianna’s favorite event is the 800 meter event. 

Julianna also enjoys music and the performing arts. For the past nine years, Julianna has played the flute, and she is currently a member of the high school concert band. She has been selected for lead roles in several high school productions and enjoys singing in the high school chorus.

At the age of 15, Julianna was chosen as the winner of a local  Seventeen Magazine’s Runway contest. Shortly thereafter, Julianna surprisingly found herself in demand as a model. She has appeared regularly in   the pages of Seventeen magazine, on the cover of Philadelphia magazine , has done numerous photo spreads such as her most recent job for DEB Shops, has appeared in several commercials like Boscov's, and has even been featured on a billboard!

Julianna is also fiercely dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer. Supporting a cause dear to her heart – her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer during Julianna's Freshman year of high school and underwent chemotherapy, surgery and radiation into her sophomore year. Julianna is a regular volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Foundation. Her commitment to finding the cure for breast cancer also includes donating her time to volunteer for organizations such as: the Walk for Hope, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and Relay for Life.

Julianna is also dedicated to serving her school.  She is cross-age mentor for grade school students in her school district and is a member of her high school drama club, prom committee, and student council.

Her precious spare time is devoted to her family and friends.  Another one of her favorite things to do is to read.  You can always find Julianna reading different books, as she tries to finish one every couple weeks.

In the future, Julianna hopes to attend college to obtain a degree in Communications or Journalism, and minor in Theater. Her dream is to one day be on stage performing or in the TV/film industry.

Julianna says that she is surprised and delighted to be representing her state and teenagers everywhere.  She can't wait to travel to the Miss Teen USA 2006 competition!
