Jessica is a 20 year old college student majoring in radio, television and film at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Claire and Jesse Boyington and has one sister, Kristin. She also has a large extended group of family and friends that has been a source of encouragement and support.
Jessica is an excellent student and her academic accomplishments have included being announced on the President's List at college. She is listed among the Who's Who of American High School Students. A major highlight for Jessica was being invited to be a member of a contingent of students chosen to represent her school at an event where President George W. Bush was to be the keynote speaker.
Jessica took her first dance steps at the age of three and continued on to become an invited member of the prestigious Marcia Hyland Dance Company. She has combined her solid dance skills, classical training as a pianist and love of children to pursue her lifelong goal to teach. Her passion for music and dance is shared with her young students who love her and now, at three years old, love dance, as well.
The list of her accomplishments includes, first and foremost, being awarded the title of Miss New Jersey USA. Performing and training in dance and piano have also brought Jess to the modeling runway for Macy's, Seventeen Magazine and Strawbridge's department store. She has also appeared in several television commercials, most notably for Conair Hair Products.
Jessica has also volunteered as a Sunday School teacher for first graders at her church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Berlin, New Jersey. She has performed as one of the featured dancers at the Philadelphia Affiliate's charitable event benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
In the future, Jessica would like to finish college and continue on with her dance and music activities. She says, "I've been preparing for this time in my life for quite awhile and now that it's here, I want to enjoy every minute of it!"
